Inspiration

It began with the carved bead itself, shaped from Green Kyanite. We fell for this Pixiu at first sight, hand-carved from genuine stone with real veining, charming and modern rather than fearsome, yet still mighty in meaning. What held us was the deep blue-green shimmer that shifted with the light. The harder part was finding companion stones to match its size and density, until a trusted Chinese friend led us to Green Kyanite in the exact shade. Aligning stones this closely is never easy, but we waited until we found it. “Nila” from Sanskrit means deep blue-green, the colour of the stone. “Vajra” means thunderbolt, the indestructible force that guards all you hold.

ทุกอย่างเริ่มจากตัวลูกปัดแกะสลักจาก ไคยาไนต์เขียว (Green Kyanite) เราหลงรักปี่เซียะตัวนี้ตั้งแต่แรกเห็น แกะด้วยมือจากหินแท้ที่มีลายเนื้อหินจริง น่ารักและทันสมัย ไม่ได้ดูน่ากลัว แต่ยังทรงพลังในความหมาย สิ่งที่ตรึงใจเราคือประกายน้ำเงินอมเขียวที่เคลื่อนไหวไปกับแสง ส่วนที่ยากกว่าคือการหาหินเม็ดอื่นที่เข้ากันได้ในขนาดและเนื้อหิน จนเพื่อนชาวจีนที่ไว้วางใจพาเราไปพบกับไคยาไนต์เขียวในเฉดที่ตรงกันพอดี การจับคู่หินให้กลมกลืนขนาดนี้ไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย แต่เรารอจนได้พบมัน “นิล” (Nila) จากภาษาสันสกฤต หมายถึง น้ำเงินอมเขียวเข้ม สีของเนื้อหิน “วัชระ” (Vajra) หมายถึง สายฟ้า พลังที่ไม่อาจทำลาย ผู้คุ้มครองทุกสิ่งที่เป็นของเรา
