Inspiration

It began with falling for a single carving. This hand-carved Pixiu was cut from genuine stone, the true veining still running through its body, charming and modern rather than fearsome, yet keeping every bit of its old meaning intact. Then came the harder part, searching for stones of the right size and texture to sit beside it, which led us to Amethyst Phantom Quartz through a trusted Chinese friend. Even when two beads seem to share a color, gathering a whole strand where every tone matches is far from easy. We named it “Aruna” from Sanskrit, the charioteer of the dawn, the crimson glow that arrives before the sun.

ทุกอย่างเริ่มจากการหลงเสน่ห์ของลูกปัดปี่เซียะแกะสลักชิ้นหนึ่ง แกะจากหินแท้ที่ยังมีลายเนื้อหินจริง น่ารักและร่วมสมัย ไม่ได้ดูน่ากลัว ตัดทอนให้เข้ากับยุคนี้แต่ยังคงความขลังในความหมายไว้ครบถ้วน จากนั้นคือส่วนที่ยากกว่า การเสาะหาหินที่มีขนาดและเนื้อใกล้เคียงเหมาะสมให้ไหลต่อเนื่องกลมกลืนกับปี่เซียะ จนได้พบควอตซ์แฟนทอม (Amethyst Phantom) จากเพื่อนชาวจีนที่ไว้วางใจ ถึงสองเม็ดจะดูสีต่อกันได้ แต่การสะสมให้สีทั้งเส้นพอดีกันไม่ใช่เรื่องง่ายเลย เราตั้งชื่อว่า “อรุณ” (Aruna) จากภาษาสันสกฤต หมายถึงสารถีแห่งรุ่งอรุณ แสงสีชาดที่มาก่อนดวงอาทิตย์
